I was raised in a suburban town about an hour north-west of Philadelphia. A latch-key kid in a single parent household, I spent a lot of my free time in the company of my grandmother and her grown-up friends. She took me along with her to political functions, and cultural events not normally within the scope of children. It's thus that I became infatuated with art. I was enrolled at the Wyomissing Institute of Fine Arts when I was just eight, and studied at Chester Springs Art Studio in my early teens. I took the art major course of study which my high school provided, and went on to study art and art therapy in college. Independently, I've branched out and taught myself other mediums to satiate my curiosity; I've also participated in specialised online courses and discussion mailing lists focusing on art as a means of social and political activism. I enjoy growing through learning more, within the company of my partner and daughter.
